Wellbeing and Inclusion at the Core Wellbeing and inclusion sit at the heart of all family partnerships at BWA. Our approach focuses on removing barriers, adapting provision, and ensuring that support is responsive rather than reactive. Families are engaged early in conversations around wellbeing, learning needs, and transitions, ensuring decisions are informed, collaborative, and in the best interests of each child. This consistent dialogue has resulted in smoother transitions, improved attendance, and stronger emotional resilience for students across all phases. Building Community Through Shared Experiences Everyday actions are what turn values into lived experiences. Events such as Sports Day, International Culture Day, learning celebrations, and shared classroom moments provide opportunities for families to connect not only with their own children, but with the wider school community. These moments reinforce a sense of belonging and shared identity, helping students see that learning is something valued and supported both at home and at school.
By offering these workshops regularly and accessibly, we ensure families are not only informed but equipped with practical strategies they can apply immediately. This has led to increased parental confidence, consistency in approaches between home and school, and stronger trust in our shared values. Our weekly forums also play a key role in building community. They provide space to celebrate learning, recognise effort, and reinforce the values that underpin life at BWA. Families are invited into these moments of celebration, creating shared pride in achievement and a strong sense of belonging. Students benefit from seeing their learning acknowledged not only by staff but by the wider school community, reinforcing motivation and self-belief. Weekly forums bring families into school celebrations, building pride, motivation and belonging
