Claire Gadsby leads a focused professional learning session, helping educators turn practical strategies into classroom impact
D eveloped by leading educational expert Claire Gadsby, High Impact Teaching is a new CPD series launching for the 2026–27 academic year, designed to provide educators with focused, high-quality professional learning that can be immediately applied within the classroom. Built around the philosophy of Short Bursts. Big Gains., the programme focuses on concise, structured learning experiences that support meaningful improvements in teaching practice, confidence, and classroom impact, without overwhelming already busy educators. Launching from August/September 2026, the first three pathways have been carefully designed to support educators at different stages of their professional journey. THE PATHWAYS ECT Pathway Designed for Early Career and Trainee Teachers, this pathway focuses on building strong classroom foundations through practical strategies linked to behaviour, routines, learner engagement, questioning,
adaptive teaching, and positive classroom culture. The pathway is also well suited to university teacher training programmes and could support trainee teachers preparing to enter the classroom. Foundation Pathway Created for educators looking to strengthen and refine core teaching practice, this pathway explores engagement, assessment, classroom consistency, impactful learning environments, and effective teaching strategies that positively influence learner outcomes. Advanced Pathway Aimed at experienced educators, the Advanced Pathway focuses on reflective practice, curriculum delivery, professional influence, and embedding high-impact approaches that create long-term improvements across teaching and learning. How It Works Teachers access the programme through a dedicated web-based platform or can download the app, allowing them to engage with the pathways flexibly around existing school commitments.
