The curriculum will focus on seven key areas Data and algorithms Software applications Ethical awareness in AI Real-world AI applications AI-driven innovation and project design AI policies Social engagement These modules are tailored to be age-appropriate and will be incorporated into existing school timetables without requiring extra class hours. “The UAE is shaping future leaders for an AI-driven world.” Sheikh Mohammed emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating, "We are preparing our children for a future where AI will be a fundamental part of their lives and careers. By integrating AI into our education system, we are ensuring that our youth are not just consumers of technology but creators and innovators."
Key points of the initiative Early Introduction AI will be introduced as a subject from kindergarten, ensuring that students are familiar with the concepts and applications of AI from an early age. Comprehensive Curriculum The curriculum will be designed to cover various aspects of AI, including its ethical implications, practical applications, and future developments. Mandatory for All Students The AI subject will be mandatory for all students in government schools, ensuring equal access to this critical knowledge. Support for Teachers The initiative will also include comprehensive training programmes for teachers to ensure they are well- equipped to deliver the new curriculum effectively.
