PRACTICAL WELLNESS TIPS FOR NEWLY ARRIVED TEACHERS Create a grounding routine, start and end your day with a few minutes of deep breathing or journaling. It helps you feel comfortable in a new environment. Build your community early, connect with other expat teachers or local wellness groups. Feeling supported reduces loneliness. Schedule ‘me time’, explore the new city, try a hobby, or simply rest. Don’t let work take over every moment. Practice cultural curiosity, not perfection, you don’t need to know everything on day one. Ask questions, be open, and allow yourself to learn. REMEMBER Moving abroad is a big life change.
