A learning space built for the future The Sky Lab adds to AIA’s expanding ecosystem of experiential learning environments that already includes the Robotics and AI Lab, Product Design Studio, Graphic Design and Multimedia Lab and Rapid Prototyping Lab. Each space reflects the school’s belief that strong academic foundations paired with hands-on experience prepare students for a world shaped by rapid technological change. AIA’s new Sky Lab curriculum brings together drone design and flying, rocket and cube satellite development, and Metaverse exploration through VR and XR. Every element has been designed to deepen curiosity and build confidence in high-growth STEM fields. The Sky Lab bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world application through immersive aviation and space-based activities. Bringing aviation training into the classroom At the heart of the lab is the STEMPILOT Edustation Simulator. This interactive tool turns a classroom into a cockpit where students can apply STEM concepts in real time. Through flight simulation, instrument flying, cross-
country navigation, meteorology and air traffic control scenarios, learners gain a deeper understanding of STEM principles aligned with NGSS standards.
