82 Excellence in Schools

C ome October, the ‘Pinktober’ month, Breast Cancer Awareness month and everyone thinks Pink, the colour related to femininity. The world is bathed in a sea of pink, symbolising the fight against Breast Cancer. North Point Education (NPE) Schools, take pride in continuing their decade-long legacy of spreading awareness and support for this life-changing disease. The three schools, under NPE, The Royal Academy, The Bloomington Academy, and The Hope English School, came together earlier in October, to raise awareness about Breast Cancer, which affects millions worldwide. A tradition of care that continues to shape young hearts. Bound with a legacy of support dating back to 2012, NPE has been at the forefront of Breast Cancer awareness, inspiring a new generation of champions to join the fight. For over a decade, and still going strong, NPE schools have consistently organised events, programmes, and activities to spread awareness, promote early detection, and support those affected by this disease.

Their commitment to community engagement has been steadfast, and this year, being the Year of Community, NPE plans to loop in as many communities as possible, including hospitals and healthcare centers, to join hands in the fight against Breast Cancer. Partnerships that Strengthen Support NPE was honoured to have had partnered with Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), an external agency that shares our vision of creating a supportive community for those affected by cancer. Together, they organised a Breast Cancer Awareness marathon, which saw enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and the community. This partnership has been evidence of the power of collaboration in making a difference. “The power of collective support can bring comfort, courage and real change.”
