I f there’s one thing you can never call Dubai’s education scene, it’s quiet. Midway through the first term, there’s already a real sense of energy and progress in the air. From new school openings to landmark announcements, this season has been nothing short of transformative. For parents navigating evolving schooling models, it’s also a time of discovery. Across the UAE, schools are reimagining what learning looks like, placing greater focus on creativity, confidence, and future readiness. That phrase has taken on a new meaning recently, especially after the Leading the Future Conference 2025, where global experts from academia and industry reminded us that while skills can be taught, communication, empathy, and curiosity are what truly prepare young people for life. The message was clear: Building the workforce of the future isn’t just a university’s job. It’s a shared responsibility across educators and employers alike. At Education UAE, we’ve been on the ground meeting the people turning that vision into reality. From Repton School Dubai’s ambitious campus redevelopment to Heriot-Watt University Dubai’s new James Watt Building, designed with student input woven into its foundations, innovation is everywhere. Conversations with leaders such as the founding principal of Ashmount School remind us that the future of education in the UAE is in deeply passionate hands and it’s these stories of purpose and progress that continue to drive us.
